Hello NCAA March Madness basketball fans coming to Spokane! Excuse us in advance for this shameless and biased exclamation: “Go Zags!”  Okay, now that that’s behind us, we hope to let you know of all the things to do in Spokane while not consumed by basketball at the Spokane Arena.  This is an amazing city and you’re going to love your trip.  We have a great downtown with delicious local restaurants, an outdoor scene that rivals anything in the country and a culture of people that are friendly and inviting.  So welcome to Spokane, WA and we know you’ll enjoy your visit!

Get a Break from the Games:

  • Zip Lining at Mica Moon – Of course we would mention this, right?! But don’t take our word for it, visitors from all over the world have ranked us the #1 Thing to Do in the entire region. We are opening special just for you! (book now)
  • Mobius Kids – Did you tote along your favorite little fan with ya? This is the place to go to entertain them and you for a few hours.
  • Bowl & Pitcher at Riverside State Park – during March, the river will likely be running high and you’ll love the walking trails at Riverside State Park. Don’t miss the Bowl & Pitcher rock formation – it’s quite a sight to see.
  • Walk the Boardwalk in Coeur d’Alene – it’s the longest floating boardwalk on earth and the Springtime is a beautiful time to visit this famous resort town.

Get a Bite to Eat:

  • Madeleines – You’ll feel like you walked into a bakery in Paris. But it’s the best of both worlds…French food without French people. Just kidding! We’ve loved our French zipliners!
  • Fire Artisan Pizza – found in both Spokane and Coeur d’Alene, this is our town’s favorite wood-fire pizza joint.
  • Austin Live Fire – speaking of fire, you will not go wrong with an Austin, Texas BBQ stop. They brought the flavor to Spokane and it’s walking distance (10-15 min) from the Arena.
  • Birdie’s Pies Shop – if you’re looking for dessert, it’s worth the drive to our beloved Spokane region’s pie shop. Open late on Friday too for date night!

Can’t Get Enough? Best Places to Watch Games on Friday & Sunday:

  • Epic at Northern Quest – truth be told, it feels like you are in Las Vegas. The place is that well-designed and the screens are huge. In addition, they have a Top Golf Swing Suite for virtual games.
  • 24 Taps Burgers and Brews – right in downtown Spokane, this is the go-to place if you still want NCAA basketball games and want a serious burger.

If you have any questions or are looking for even more suggestions, feel free to email us (info@micamoon.com)! We are born and raised Spokanites and know all of the nooks and crannys of the region. Again, we hope you enjoy your stay while coming to Spokane for the NCAA Basketball tournament.
